A single black dot on the blank page, The ink still wet, glistening to the dim light, A testament to the blankness of my mind As I try my hardest to salvage the time. Minutes go by; Still I ponder, Searching my deepest thoughts for eloquent words, For beautiful images, Anything that I might put to the page, And so be able to declare the time not wasted. Oh, the emptiness of my heart Continues to put to lie my intentions. I find the time has passed And still I have only A single, black dot.

Spring is nearly here. I can taste it in the air; Hear it on the breeze as it blows by my window. I can see it in the crisp clear blue of the morning sky, And in the bright orange breasts of the robins on the lawn. The world has come alive with the sound of bird and beast, Announcing to the heavens that winter has ended. Yes, spring is on its way at last, And the hearts of men rejoice.

Alone in the shadows, She hides behind her empty eyes. Unseen by most, unnoticed by all. The pain, the rage, the fear, Struggling to break out of their cage. She lies and laughs and says all is well, But inside she is slowly dying Eaten away by the all-consuming emotions Warring within her core. He is not an Edward. He doesn't stare at me every minute he is with me. Or smell my hair and watch me sleep. Won't follow me, like a lost puppy, Sometimes, he'll even walk away. He doesn't love me for my faults, It's in spite of them. He'll notice pretty girls, even think of past lovers… When he laughs at me, it's because I'm silly, Not cute Or Perfect. I apologize to any of my friends and followers who may be reading this now. I've been MIA for altogether too long and have been in a shamefully un-creative mode for so long that I almost forgot what my DA login even was. I know I've said this before, but I intend to remedy this. I have several ideas on how to do that at the moment, one that I'm even getting quite excited about.
