Shade's Prologue, Part TwoMyrin cursed under her breath, kicking the gravel beneath her feet as she walked. She was growing weary of walking everywhere, but a lowly village family like hers barely managed to pay for food and clothing, much less afford a mount-beast. Take into account the costs to train it, and feed it, and stable it then, add the equipment, and the costs really became insurmountable. She glanced up at the clouds overhead, watching the colorful forms of the kyrtana flock wheeling round and about; disappearing into the mists one moment to come floating out on the opposite side a moment later. Wasted TimeA single black dot on the blank page,Wasted Time
The ink still wet, glistening to the dim light,
A testament to the blankness of my mind As I try my hardest to salvage the time.
Minutes go by;
Still I ponder,
Searching my deepest thoughts for eloquent words,
For beautiful images,
Anything that I might put to the page,
And so be able to declare the time not wasted.
Oh, the emptiness of my heart Continues to put to lie my intentions.
I find the time has passed And still I have only A single, black dot.

She's DangerousThere's venom on her lips and her fingernails are sharpened. Don't let her smile fool you. She has to be dangerous. Otherwise, why would it be that every person to ever cross her has done so from a distance?She's Dangerous
